Putting Setup
This week golf lesson is all about the putting stance. You may claim this is simple and does not need much attention. But do you know that, without a proper stance, you can never hole the ball consistently and you will find more frustration. If you observe all the PGA player in tour, you will notice how sensitive each golfer treat their putting stance. They go to make sure this is their normal stance that they use to practice in the practice green. So please take this golf lesson seriously as a good putting to the hole is all come from a good stance.
Why you can see all kind of difference stances in the PGA tour. Why all the differences? Because of two factors common to putting styles. Some setup slightly open to the ball, while others use a closed stance. Some bend low, and some stand almost straight up. The arms may be tucked in or flared out. The feet may be close together or spread wider than shoulder-width.
The golf tip is, when putting, every golfer tries to get as comfortable over the ball as possible which in turn, need to breed the confidence to make the putt. Secondly, they are trying to position their eyes directly over or just inside the ball-to-target line.
Everything square and make sure your eyes are lined up above the ball or just inside it. You must know that it is extremely difficult to stroke the ball successfully on a line to the hole. On the other hand, if your eyes are lined up outside the ball, you will get a distorted view of the target line and will probably pull the putter back on an outside path, which may result in a putt missed to the left. Here is the golf tips on how to assume that winning formula in your setup.
· Positioning the ball inside your left heel, see yourself so that your left eye is directly over the ball. You can test this by dropping a ball down the sight line of your left eye. If you are lines up correctly, that ball will hit the ball on the ground below you.
· Try to hang your arm comfortable naturally, flexing your knees and bend forwards from the hips. Wiggle your toes inside your shoes until you balance your weight evenly between both feet – with your feet set at distance of about 12 inches (30cm) apart.
· Finally, align your body parallel to the line of the putt.
